Correspondent Message

In the year 1999 when St. Francis Nursery and Primary School was established, its aim was to provide quality education through English medium. Today we continue to provide quality education through English medium with our focus on the growth and development of the child that includes physical and cognitive development, moral and social development making progression from dependence to autonomy.

Our teachers are warm and caring in their approach. Regular in-service training is conducted to ensure that they are completely prepared for their responsibilities. Latest trends in early childhood education and care are also imparted to them.

We nurture children in,

  • Reading and writing skills.
  • Number work and maths skills.
  • Art and craft skills.
  • Dance and performance skills.
  • Soft and living skills.

We offer our students and their families:

A culture of high expectation: We believe every child is bestowed with abilities that can be nurtured to help them maintain the highest standards for excellent academic performance and behaviour in life.

Teaching-Learning enhancement through classroom instructions: Our teachers frequently receive support and feedback to improve their teaching practice to enhance student learning.

Student assessment and accountability: Students are frequently assessed, both formally and informally, so that teachers can identify and target skill gaps.

School timing: Our school day begins at 9.00 am and ends at 3.30 pm, providing ample time for our students to master their skills.

School values: Through our care values of Personal responsibility, Respect for oneself and others, Integrity, Fortitude and Striving for excellence, our students will develop the strong character they need to be successful in school and in life, and to overcome any obstacles they will face in the future.

Strong partnership with parents: Parents are an integral part for the development of the child and of our students’ success. Hence, we welcome parent volunteers and parent participation in our Parents’ Association. In return we also expect our parent to cooperate in the following ways:

  • Sending the child to school in full uniform that displays neatness and tidiness.
  • Enabling children to be punctual to school and attend the Morning Prayer and Assembly.
  • Ensuring that the child gives regular attendance.
  • Making sure that the child completes the home-work every day before coming to school.
  • Attending all meetings and open-house sessions to discuss the progress of the child and the school.
